I was on Milton Academy's website, and I noticed it said that international students and students for whom English is not their first language had to take it.
I am from South Korea, but I am in the US. I am a green card holder... do I still have to take the TOEFL?

They just make you take it if you cannot speak english well, but if you do but english isn’t your first language, I am sure they will understand.

If you are attending in school in the US, I would assume that you do not need to take it. To be safe, call and ask.

I believe most schools’ policies are if you have been learning in mainstream English for the past 3 years.

I emailed Exeter the same question and they replied "Toefl would also be required for those students who have not been taught in the English language the last four years of their schooling. " I assume the 3-4 year rule is probably accurate for most schools.
