Tommy Bahama

I've gotten into this gift card buying and selling thing and I have a ton of Tommy Bahama gift cards right now. I counted on selling most to my grandpa (they make good money and he always wears hawaiian shirts and my grandma always shopped at Nordstrom - I made an assumption and I was wrong) Anyway - I have $1300 for there and can only justify getting an interview shirt, some cologne, and some shoes. I'm in college. If I were 20 years older I'd have no problem spending all of it, but it makes little sense to buy many $110 shirts. This gives me a problem - anyone who shops at Tommy Bahama isn't looking for a deal where I sell them (craigslist) and there aren't any up on ebay for me to get a feel as to how well it'd do. Anyone have any advise? Also, if anyone's in seattle I'll let you buy anything you want for 35% off and just pay me after I use my gift cards to pay. I'd also be up for using paypal if anyone feels like it. How can I get rid of these cards?

Buy some bedding stuff and towels?

wow sucks for you

can you buy stuff with the giftcards and then return the items for cash?
or could you just ask for your money. because at barnes and noble they didn't even make me spend my giftcard they just let me get all the money off of it.

so you're only able to use them at tommy bahama stores? or are you able to use them on tommy bahama items but at any store?? then you could buy the items at nordstrom and return them for money.

also a lot of companies have more than one brand. like how old navy, victorias secret, gap, etc. are all the same company. maybe they'll let you use it on another one of their brands?

or you could hang out at the store and tell the shoppers your dilemma and ask if you can put their purchases on your giftcard and then they pay you back in cash. because old people are nice sometimes.

also maybe they make some other items. like OKgirl said you probably don't have to just get shirts. you could like get wallets or belts or shoes or soemthing. and either keep them or give them away whenever you have to give a present.

or you could give the giftcards away whenever someone has a birthday or christmas. then you don't have to spend more money on gifts for them.

im pretty sure they have a womans line too. you can like give it to your mom.

Craigslist?

Buy some ties.

do a search for "trade sell giftcards" and it comes up with tons of sites that you could list them on and maybe even trade for a place you like.
