Too late for an extracurricular activity?

I am currently part of some Reading Partners program (just started a few weeks ago). If I were to do something else (like be a tutor for chemistry or calculus for next sem and start in January), do you think it will increase the chances of getting accepted to a UC? Also, that tutoring position is a paid job at my school, and I've never had a job, so that could be good too I guess.

What do you guys think?
I'll be applying to UCSD, UCI, UCSC, and UCD.

For those UCs, it’s really not going to make that much of a difference.

Not even a little bit of weight?

Not even a little, Bhav007. Those UCs don’t care much about ECs. In fact, UC Berkeley is the only UC that cares much about them. Not even UCLA cares all that much.

The more you know, lol
