Too Late to Start a Club?

Hi Guys,

I’m a rising senior in high school and I want to start a badminton club at my school.

I applied for it in junior year but got rejected. BUT I’m almost positive it’ll go through this time as I’ve talked to counselors, etc. and figured out what I have to do for it to go through.

My question is, is it too late? I’m going to be applying to colleges regular decision (January) and I’ll be notified if my club was accepted or not in October.

What will admissions officers think of this? Will it help my application?

I’m not just doing it for them though, I’m very passionate about badminton and have many accolades from it. I genuinely want to help spread the popularity of the sport in my school. Regardless I’ll be making it, but I just wanted to know your thoughts? Thanks!!!

No, I don’t think it’s to late. As long as you mention your persistence in making the club happen, as you did try last year.

If you really want to start it then college admissions shouldn’t have any weight in your decision to make it. It sounds like it’d be a lot of fun so go for it!

Thanks for the help guys!! @brijetz17 @TotallyTrudy
