Too late to update application file?

I’m an SCEA applicant and was just chosen for a significant, selective program. With 8 days to go until decisions are released, is it too late to upload an update about that program to the admissions portal and expect it to matter? Or are decisions probably made already?

Also, would it be more impactful if the update came from my counselor vs. through the portal?

You might want keep it for the future, in case of a deferral.

@ProspectiveEli - if it is significant, send it in now.

As most SCEA applicants are deferred or rejected (83 % more), I would SAVE the update for your deferral letter should you need to write one. If you update Admissions now and are deferred in the next week, you’ll have wasted your precious ammunition – and then what will you have to say in the update letter?
