I just figured out the interview process for CMU. Is it too late for me to contact the admissions office now to get the contact info? Or should I just give it a try anyways?

My son is in the same boat, he is waiting for e-mail address from admissions! Are interviews mandatory does not having an interview hurt your chances of acceptance?

Call admissions.

didn't they send you all a book of alumni emails if you wanted an interview?

I'm getting the hint that they like interviews, so I'm going to e-mail right away. Take a look: Experience Carnegie Mellon

Actually I'm really worried now because they say the final date is February 1st to have an interview.

interviews aren't actually REQUIRED, though, right?

Interviews are completely optional. For those that want to schedule an interview, there should still be time. My interviewer responded to my email in like 2 min. after I requested one and we met a few days later.

My S went for a weekend stay and signed up for an interview, but since they (justifiably) prefer to interview out of town applicants, he didn't get scheduled then, and what's more he never did get a date firmed up. Didn't seem to hurt much - got in SCS last year, and is loving it.
