too many credits will reduce my chances?

I am sincerely looking forward to responses that can really help me

dealing with my somewhat complicated situation.

I go to SUNY Binghamton majoring in accounting

currently I have 47 credits from 3 semesters of classes and will return to school

in spring semester to finish up my sophomore year.

I am considering transferring to top 10 business schools

my question is, I am planning on sending my applications in spring semester of

Junior year ( by then i will have 89-95 credits) because I am constantly improving

my GPA since i messed up badly in my freshmen year. Expected GPA at the end of Junior

year is 3.4. Will having taken too many classes(credits) in my current school reduce chances

of getting admissions given the same credentials? If so, I am thinking about sending

applications in Fall of Junior year with lower GPA.

To put it in a simple way, it's 3.2 GPA with 78 credits VS. 3.4 GPA with 94 credits.

Which one would be better?

Also like I mentioned above, I did poorly in my freshmen year when I was taking pre-business

courses such as micro, macro, stat, calc and financial accounting.

I am thinking whether I should retake those courses and get A's to show that I have

become a hard working student and i am improving. I know when you transfer to business

schools they place strong emphasis on grades received from those pre-business courses so

that is another reason for retaking. Or, should I just take upper level courses of those

pre-business courses?

Lastly, even though my GPA will be around 3.2 - 3.4, I started out my freshman year

with a 2.0 GPA. Since then I started getting couple of A's and from now on I am and will

get A's in my classes. Will schools like my case? starting out badly but dramatically

improving.

It’s not that it will ‘reduce’ your chances, it is that some schools have upper limits as to how many credits you can transfer in. I know NYU has different credit limits for each division. If you are over that limit, some schools won’t even look at the application.

thanks a lot
do you know any business schools that have credit limits above 90?

what do you think about my GPA situation?
