So the advice seeking portion:

I've been writing for the English insert in a community Chinese newspaper. I have a chance to run for assistant editor but since I'm already editor of my school paper, lit mag, and yearbook (by 12th grade at least), will it really do much to be the editor of another paper? This position will require 2-3 hrs per week, and I'm not sure if I can handle that without dropping one of my activities.

P.S. I really love writing but I don't think I can make a career out of it, so I might pursue pre-med (ugh stupid influential Asian parents), but as of now, I don't think I can get into a good school if I come off as a typical pre-med Asian. Should I keep up this "hide your pre-med intentions" ploy? Blehhh don't even know if I really want to do pre-med.

Thanks for reading this very confusing post.

You don’t have top commit yourself to any major, go through high school; maybe freshman year of college, then see what you want to do. If you love english and writing, pursue it!

Btw, i’m your age, I know how you feel! haha

I’m almost 100% positive that you can only count achievements made during your high school years.
