I looked around the formun about too many units for CSU. I didn’t find it here or on the CSUN website. How much is too many units to transfer to CSUN? I went first went to UCSB majoring in Computer Science. I left with 112 quarter units to a CC. I spent time in CC on and off for about 3 years. I currently have 45 semster units completed. By the time I transfer to CSUN, I will have 65 units. Of both those 112 quarter units and 65 units, only 72 quarter units and 61 semster units are CSU transferable. I also have 8 AP credits.I’m trying to geting into CSUN’s accounting program. How bad is it?
It is a pretty competitive program so, you will probably need a 3.3 GPA and the right courses to be competitive. Generally, you need 150 units (semester) for an accounting degree. There is a long list of courses you must take.
Usually, upper division courses aren’t transferable so, you will probably need to take 90 or so at Northridge. I encourage you to meet with an admission counselor to review your transcript and assess your path forward.
