My school doesn't offer any AP classes so I'm planning to self study the following:
AP US History (AMSCO + Crash Course)
Environmental Science (Princeton Review + Smartypants)
and I'm contemplating on which of Psych (Barron's + Crash Course) and Human Geography (Barron's + Princeton Review) to take. Would it be plausible to take both Psych and Human Geo together with the aforementioned classes? Which of the two would be easier?

Taking Human Geo for the sake of taking an AP makes little sense. It is a) considered relatively easy, and b) earns no sort of college credit. Your time would be better spent studying a subject you are more interested in and which has the possibility of earning college credit.

The college I’m hoping to matriculate to (Dartmouth College) gives credit to Human Geo. Should I still take this AND Psych or would psych be more rational?

I don’t know about the toughness of either psych or human geo, but have you checked whether the colleges you want to apply to will accept them for credit? I know a lot of the colleges I want to apply to don’t give credit for them or only give elective credit for them.

edit: haha I’m a slow poster sorry. I say just take human geo.

**too MANY APs

first of all “the college you are trying to matriculate” into does not offer credit for HUman Geography, just like no decent college would…

http://www.dartmouth.edu/~frstyear/work/policies/AP%20Chart%202012

So I guess I’d stick with just Psych, and theres really no point in that either other than just being able to skip it in college, and bragging rights. So you see for yourself if thats worth it, for me it is =P

^^Thank you elbeeen for correcting that really annoying mistake.

And, I self-studied both Psychology and Human Geography along with 4 other APs, and got 5s on all, so it shouldn’t be a problem if you take both. They are both very easy.

Sorry! Hahaa So “Geography” isn’t the same as Human Geo? I’m confused.

Human Geography is a small subset of geography, and doesn’t cover nearly 1/6 of geography. I don’t know about Dartmouth’s placement policies, but almost no other top tier school accepts Human Geography. You could do it just to show initiative for the admissions process.

Human geogrpahy-easy but lots to memorize and to learn but mainly curreent objects.
psychology-easy but mostly vocab
ES-heard it was easy.

That’s all I know.
