Too Much Ivy League

I am totally exhausted!!! All though I am not aiming for an Ivy school when I graduate, I feel like my high school career is messed up. I have an overall cumulative weighted GPA of a 3.89, I took two AP classes sophomore year(art history and human geography-expecting 3s on each), I earned 3 and a half high school credits in middle school, I am going to be a foreign exchange student, and I have yet to take the SAT!

I want to know if anybody else on this college discussion board is feeling the same kind of emotions I am. I feel like there is not enough representation of students on this website who are just trying to go to college. I think a big factor to keep in mind about college though is that if you find the college program that’s right for you, regardless if it’s at an Ivy or public university; the same level of advanced education can be achieved at both institutions. With the public university system however, this goal can be achieved within a reasonable price.

We just want the best undergraduate experience and education possible. My main purposes for aiming toward top schools are connections, the professors, resources, and the student body.

You can get the same kinds of "undergraduate experiences" at cheaper schools or even local, private colleges.

true, but this site seems to be geared more toward people who want to go to "elite" schools. They try to find people who are going through the same insecurities as themselves. People who are aiming for public institutions tend to not go through the same emotions or are more secure. Therefore, although this category of students is represented on this site, there really aren't many in comparison.
