Too Much Thrust for Essays?

Would it be a bad thing if I want to major in engineering and I write all three of my essays for a certain college on an engineering-related subject. Like, I have my 500-word significant experience essay for the common-app be about an engineering project I did (building a racecar), have my 150-word ec essay about an internship at NASA, and have the required 500-word supplemental essay on my interest in engineering vaguely describe why i like engineering?

Would that make me seem to narrow-minded or unrounded, or would it be a good thing if it shows i'm dedicated to my field.

well if the essays are good and interesting then it shows that ur a focused and goal-oriented person
on the other hand if the essays are dull, boring and repetitive, you will be portayed as narrow-minded and uni-dimensional.
i feel that even average, not so brilliant essays on a variety of topics might give u an image of a well rounded and diverse indiviudal..

I was thinking--shouldn't the 500-word supplemental essay on your interest be the one that's real specific? I think it would be bad if you made that one vague. About the others, it depends on how it comes out, as skywalker99 said.

By "vague", I actually meant that I wouldn't be describing a specific event like i would with the other two.

Thanks for the responses btw.

It's your choice, honestly.

It seems a little much. though.

Colleges would rather have you write well about what you know/interested in above anything else. They are not reading these essays simply to hear about the things you've done (although that is one aspect), but they also want to see your goals/experiences/ability of expressing yourself. Those topics seem to be independent of each other even though they all are connected by the engineering theme. The more you stay true to yourself, the better success you'll have.

halopeno makes a great point.. but i dont know.. of what ive seen n heard they seem like diversity n variety..
