Would it be a bad thing if I want to major in engineering and I write all three of my essays for a Cornell on an engineering-related subject. Like, I have my 500-word significant experience essay for the common-app be about an engineering project I did (building a racecar), have my 150-word ec essay about an internship at NASA, and have the required 500-word supplemental essay on my interest in engineering vaguely describe why i like engineering?

Would that make me seem to narrow-minded or unrounded, or would it be a good thing if it shows i'm dedicated to my field.

The NASA one would be impressive if well written. Showing ur passions is always important, but u r right that it might be too much of the same subject...I'm really not sure what to tell u.

So do you think i should use the essay i wrote for the regular common app for the engineering interest essay and think of a non-engineering-related topic for that?

for the supplementals, do you recommend being straight-forward and kind of "my interests include bla bla and this is how my ECs fit in...bla bla and this is my business...flat out" or do you recommend making the supps much more personal in the anecdotal style that seems to be popular with the common app. long essays??? please share opinions!

Are you talking about the supplement one in your last post? So does that mean you wrote about like an abstract, non-field related subject for your regular common-app essay?

Extremely abstract and non-field related lol. Just remember there is no right or wrong. I'd give u links to college essay helping sights but I don't have them on my college laptop (have em at home). Search the web...I found some great sites with great examples and such
