Hi,

When I created my school email address, I guess I made it too cute, and now I'd like to change it. What I meant is that currently my email address is too_funny@berkeley.edu, but I'd like to change it to study@berkeley.edu

Is it possible? And how?

Thanks a lot.

lol-u only get to make an email address once.

I never knew people would create such addresses lol I made mine like basically my name in a creative way though.

I never realized people used their full names as email addresses. I only put my first name initial and last name (I have an uncommon last name so there’s no one else on campus with it, so justified in my case). I wish I could change it to have my full name though =/

I just used my first name. but creatively : ]

well at least it doesn’t admit you do anything illegal…it is what it is. Most professors and GSIs that send stuff to your Calmail have auto lists so they don’t even look at the address unless you send them something. For other classes, you can choose any email for them to contact you at, so it can be a more “appropriate” one if you wish.

brb signing you up for free porn :P

Create an alias. Go to calmail.berkeley.edu. Click “manage your account” and then “aliases”.

calvilier, thanks a bunch… a lesson learned.

by the way, anyone tried this alias approach? does that mean we actually could have multiple email addresses pointing to the same inbox?

Yes, all your aliases would redirect emails to your main account

Terrific! Hi, guys, now feel free to try all the funny logins you always wanted :-)
