I took AP Bio way back in freshman year and got a 3 on the test. It’s not good, but it was my first AP and I was sick when I took it.
I’ll be a rising senior and I just decided this year that I want to be a biology major. I have already taking AP Physics and regular chemistry in addition to AP bio.
What should I use for prep? Will the Barron’s one suffice?
The Barron’s SAT Biology book will work. You can also study from your AP resources since a good portion of the content is covered on both exams (though the AP course goes more in depth).
If you still have your bio text book you should go back and read it. When my kids took the Bio test pretty much everything was in the text book except for some critical thinking questions while I can not say the same for barons and Princeton. Especially, since it is a few years ago that you took the class might be even more helpful. In my experience studying from the text book and then using the prep books for review and tests is the best way.
I’ll use the Barrons one then. I don’t have the textbook, but there is a college biology book in our house. I am aiming for 800.
