top 3 department or schools

Can you name the top 3 department or schools at UMich. Thanks

Top three in what?

Endowment? Size? Faculty/Student ratio?

fields/academics

mechanical engineering is highly ranked i think

Business, Engineering, Nursing. (depending on the instrument, Music can be very strong)

I would say Business and Engineering are the top two, idk the which is first. Third would be a more specialized school like nursing.

Within engineering Michigan is top 5 in a lot of fields and top 10 in pretty much all of them. Mechanical would be one they are very high in

I know for a fact though, based of the usanews rankings, Michigan is number 1 for nuclear engineering

So many to name. Frankly, with the exception of Biology and Chemistry, I cannot think of any department or program that is ranked clearly out of the top 10 nationally.

I think ranking the sub-disciplines under business at Ross is stupid. The kids can take only 3 of any subject and claim an “emphasis”. On which criteria are those based anyway?

Good point.

“On which criteria are those based anyway?”

This is acording to the USNWR ranking of undergraduate Business programs. Ross was #5 in Accounting, #3 in Finance, #1 in Management and #2 in Marketing.

Yea that’s a load of crap. #1 in Management? Are you kidding me? As if Ross is sending their BBAs out to be managers, lol. It’s a good school in that it teaches you the important basics, forces you to be competitive, and provides great job opportunities.
