Does Unit 3 suck that much?

Clark Kerr double suite

unit 1 double ?
??

theres an option to select "double in any unit"

Unit three has some big advantages. It's closest to Sproul, closest to the RSF (big gym), has a dinings common in the block itself, has a grocery store where you can use meal points, is closest to Telegraph, is closest to the Shattuck and the BART station. But more people (including myself) seem to enjoy Unit 1 and Unit 2 more. shrug

Plus Unit 3 is known as the most social unit. Not to say the other units are boring or anything, but you're guaranteed to have some parties and rowdiness at Unit 3.

However, the difference in terms of walking distance compared to Units 1/2 is only a few minutes, and I treat the run fron unit 2 to RSF as exercise. The food there is just OK compared to crossroads (maybe will be better after their renovation). As for BART and Shattuck, there is a bus stop in right outside unit 1/2. Also, Unit 1/2 looks better inside :P

And they're closer to Top Dog and the Azn Ghetto! And Clark Kerr. And . . . the Berkeley Art Musuem? Not that enough students use it. And Cafe Strata. And the Greek houses. And I House. And the list goes on.

two words: bear market

Short response- shorts bus to the other units or a short walking trip with 2-6 bags.

The Den?

the den sucks compared to bear market, i dont think anyone denies that

Anyone? I'm glad you can speak for who knows how many thousand students. But really, people deny it.

The Den is good for Peet's and the smoothies and all, but Bear Market is where you go to stock up on groceries.

I would actually say consider Unit 3 over the other Units. The Unit 3 Dining is crap for dinner but it is the only place to go for breakfast/brunch (omelets before 2 PM). Crossroads isn't that great for dinner either; there's more variety of food, but the environment is much more like a big cafeteria where they just dish out slop, whereas Unit 3 Dining is a little more friendly, a little more like a restaurant. The walk up to Crossroads is just a few minutes anyway.

Also, at this very moment outside of Unit 3, there are a bunch of hot girls in bikinis lying out on the volleyball court getting some sun. You won't find that at the other units. Yeah...the more I think about it, the more I feel like Unit 3 is the best Unit. BTW, I've never lived in Unit 3, just in Unit 1 Freeborn, and now in an apartment. But I get my groceries at the Bear Market.

hahaha those are my neighbors...

I'm pretty sure CKC does this, and also, the other places have breakfast.

You actually will find that at the other units. There are girls outside Unit 1 when it's sunny, not sure about 2, but i bet it even happens there. And like I said before, more power to you, and more ability for you to get rooms in Unit 3, as most people prefer the other two.

DRAB is my boy fo realz

i highly doubt that. i think unit 3 is the hardest dorm to get into because most people i know listed it as their top choice and almost none got in. on the flip side, it seems like it is relatively easy to get a room in unit 1 or 2

In the world of logical fallacy, we call that a "biased sample," but to some extent i'm operating under a similar deal.

Is there any way to know what your lottery number is? Or do they not release that info?
