Top political science undergrad

Just throw some of the best ones out at me!

Georgetown has a great reputation.

I am a very good student, but that might be a tad of a reach. Any other schools

Michigan and many other state universities.

Isnt Michigan up there with the Ivys?

^^^It’s up there with HYP. So is Berkeley. Michigan isn’t nearly as hard to get into.

H and Y?
Harvard and Yale?

Yes, and I forgot to mention Princeton.

Any of them have good theatre programs?

Michigan has a very strong musical theater program. It’s school of Music, Theater, and Dance is very highly ranked. Can’t speak for the other schools as much, athough I know Yale is excellent for theater.

GTown, Amherst, Bowdoin, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, to name a few

I meant for PoliSci, not theatre

Picking a college by a major is usually going about the process backwards. First create a list of factors:

 • How large?
 • Urban or rural?
 • Is financial aid an issue?
 • How selective?

Strength in a major, especially for such a common program like political science, should be assessed only after a tentative list is drawn up with your criteria.

what are the top 10?

Is Michigan really THAT good?

Yes, it really is that good.

Georgetown, Duke, Tufts, Ivies, and Holy Cross-LAC that counts Supreme Court Justice,1 Senator, and 3-4 Congressman.

Those are GRAD school rankings. He is looking for UNDERGRAD schools. Amazing how many people confuse schools GRADUATE programs for undergraduate strength.

do the 3 dc ones: Georgetown, GW, & American, for American apply to the Shcool of Public Affairs

other ones i know are UCLA, USC, & Berkeley

Eh, do you want a top grad program (which is what you’re being given in those rankings) or top undergrad? Admittedly, there’s often overlap, but not always.

I agree with warblersrule, though, you should be figuring out, especially for undergrad where departmental ranks matter a lot, lot less, what you want out of a college first (social scene? location? curriculum? diversity?) then maybe look into where you can get a good polisci education out of the schools that fit you.
