Hello. I am trying to figure out what schools to apply to for a Masters degree in the HR field. I have only found some informal rankings of schools as no official ones exist. I have done some research so far and found some schools that seem to be good but want to hear from others if they are aware of some of the top schools.

From an MBA point of view, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (Ross) is #1 and University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) is #2. Dave Ulrich, widely regarded as the father of modern HR, teaches at Ross.

From a school of ILR point of view, Cornell is #1, but Michigan State, Maryland-University Park, Minnesota-Twin Cities and Purdue-West Lafayette are all excellent.

So, if you want to get an MBA with a focus in HR, go for Ross or Wharton. If you wish to get a MILR, Cornell, followed by Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota or Purdue.
