<p>Hey I need some help in searching for a topic
hopefully something that will be good enough for UCB</p>

<p>Here are a couple of topics that I have come up with, but am reluctant to choose. I think it might be too overused, but hey what do I know</p>

<p>UC promt#1
Describe the world you come from---for expamle, your family, community, or school---and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.</p>

<p>Topic 1
I was thinking of talking about talking about my evil step-mother, whom treated me horribly. Then summing it up with the "because of the struggles I went through I am prepared with the hardships in life" speech. </p>

<p>UC promt#2
Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?</p>

<p>Topic2
I was thinking about talking about my drive for success. How I always seem to take the hard path in life, even if I may not be able to handle it.</p>

<p>Topic3
My transition from Guam to California. How life in California is really different and my struggles in adapting to another school.</p>

<p>Topic 4
I was going to talk about my experience with typhoons/hurricanes. How my island used to always get hit by one and that it always seemed to bring about a sense of closeness in my family( because I have divorced parents its a pretty big deal).</p>

<p>Ok, thats all I got.
Can I get some input on which topics suck and arent really unique, which topics seem overused. Also do you think talking about my struggles with divorced parents would be an interesting topic. I feel it might be overused.</p>

<p>I really like topic 3. It's unique. It gives insight into who you are and shows HOW you deal with change and the rough-and-tumble of things. Topic 2, for instance, sounds too generic and typical.</p>

<p>Topic 4 also sounds like a really great one. I live in an area where we have hurricanes now and then and we know what that's like. Great symbolism you could use there.</p>
