Tough choice: Michigan vs. UVa (Business hopefully)

Still Ross.

Ross without question.

ChuckP, if you are still debating whether to attend UVA or Michigan, I would suggest going over to the UVA board and asking them about it. We are only speculating here and they would know about the business program better than any of us.

Michigan’s board is more active, but when they see a versus thread come up, they flock to it like vultures.

Dean J ( the admissions representative) is very helpful and knowledgeable about all things UVA. She would be very valuable in your decision. Good luck!

“'I just wanted to say that I agree with your statement that Ross students hype up their program too much. Its a good school, but lets get serious. It isn’t Wharton. Michigan students fell that they are apart of some of elite, but I disagree. They are good, but not that good. I say this in a message because if said in that thread, I would get flammed hardcore. Just wanting to say that I agree.”

Nice thoughts Wolfpackfan. Glad you agree with lesdiablues, one of the biggest Michigan bashers on CC. Ross students are a part of the elite btw.

No one said Ross was on the same par as Wharton. I didn’t think Ross vs. Wharton was the subject of this thread.

As an employer of business school graduates, I can tell you that all other things being equal, Ross wins over UVA when it comes to new staff hiring.

Oh, but I did. I sent that message to lesdiablues and rjkofnovi was trying to point that out. For what reason, I have no idea.

mcintire no question

Ross. Without a doubt.

if people like rjkofnovi are um students then i wouldnt want to go. he couldnt even keep a pm to himself. a pm on a forum is like a secret you tell your best friend. real mature buddy. wpf was just expressing his opinion and you gotta go and blow his spot up. way to go buddy.

If it were a pm, I wouldn’t have been able to read it now would I? In the meantime, this is a public forum and if it’s in print, it’s fair game in my book. I don’t think Ross students “hype up their program too much.” It is easily one of the best.

It really isn’t that big a deal, but thanks for being mature in realizing how immature this rjkofnovi guy is. I honestly can’t wait to go to Michigan in the fall, but IN MY OPINION, people over rate some parts of Michigan on this forum. Lesdiablues was someone who shared my opinion (not all of it), so I wanted to tell him that.

Why he went and told rjkofnovi and why rjkonovi had to throw that out there is beyond me. Its not like I was afraid, I just don’t want to get into some argument on the internet. Whatever though. There are the goods and bads at all schools I guess. Thanks anyways.

^^Tells you something about the kinds of friends you can make here on CC. Should be a lesson to you of who you can count on.

wait rjk… can you point out the spot where wpf posted that message in this thread? you can’t read pms? oh wow you must have some sort of special cc account with adult controls on. real mature kid.

im embarrassed to be considering um with kids like you around. really bring down the reputation of “one of the best business programs in the world.” ross is a great business program, but it is not wharton. don’t kid yourself kid. you bash uva like its a horrible school but yet when someone says one negative thing about um in a more respectful manner you go and try to destroy the poster’s reputation.

Yes I apologize to Wolfpackfan and to WhartonWannabe too. I just can’t stand lesdiablues and anyone who agree with him/her ****es me off. Sorry, can’t help it.

Ross students are on par with Wharton students, but Wharton students will have many more opportunities than Ross students. Nevertheless, Ross is still an amazing program that hundreds of people around the country would kill to get into. So we are not debating if Wharton is better than Ross, WhartonWannabe, but rather that choosing Ross over a chance at McIntire is the more intelligent decision. Which, by all means, it should be.

“Ross students are on par with Wharton students, but Wharton students will have many more opportunities than Ross students.”

More options, definitely…many more, not really.

Well that isn’t to say Ross students don’t already get an amazing number of opportunities. But do Ross students get to go on mountain climbing/whitewater rafting leadership workshops?!?

“Ross students are on par with Wharton students”
false

^I agree
