Hey guys,
I have a schedule dilemma

I am debating on whether or not to take AP Physics, since I want to go to an 8 year medical program, and I have heard college physics is insanely challenging.
However, in order to do this, I would have to quit journalism, and I might be selected to be editor of my high school paper.

Which choice would be better for a 8 year medical program? Thanks so much!

If you can get the job as the editor of the paper, take it. This is something you will look back on with pride when you are old. College physics is not that difficult. Every doctor takes this as a pre-med, and every doctor is not a genius.

I have no answers for the tracked programs.

Just know that you won't be permitted to use the AP Physics in college even if you take the exam. (Some medical schools do not recognize AP credit.)

Only some won't take credit. Like JHU WILL TAKE it. But I would stick w/ Journalism.

The problem is that you don't want to restrict yourself to only applying to a handful of schools. Being premed is tough. You're going to utilize a spread offense in this game, and every option you eliminate because you wanted to skip a class in college harms your chances that much more.
