My child is very bright (97 percentile math, 95 percentile verbal) but has Tourette’s and ADHD, which has impacted her socially and academically. She is interested in attending boarding school. Are there any families out there who have found successful boarding school placements for kids with these challenges? Her saving grace has been that she is very bright, but I am concerned that her “thrice” exceptional status might make it hard to find a good fit. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The academic support thread will give you many ideas of schools that have academic support programs for students with ADHD. The Tourette’s is another variable. Do not hesitate to reach out to AO’s at schools to see if she would be a good fit. If she has a neuropsych, they will usually take a look at let you know if they can provide the support or accommodations needed. I have found them to be very helpful in the regard.
thanks for your suggestions.
