Towson General Ed. requirements

Anyone here familiar with the Towson General Ed. requirements? With the required writing classes, it looks like 13 required classes in all. I am wondering how the kids have time to do anything beyond their major (study abroad, minor) with so many required classes. Feel free to PM me if you want.

Before taking Happykid and her pals up to see Towson last month, I spent the longest time trying to understand that stuff! It was a nightmare. I am glad that I did though, because I was able to tell them that they’d better get two lab sciences while they are at Montgomery College so that their AA degrees will qualify them to skip all the Gen Eds except for the advanced writing.

If you print out the detailed list from the course catalogue, it looks like many of the courses would either count as part of the major sequence or as requirements for that major that are in another department, so it may not be that hard to fit them all in. However, it certainly makes me glad that I’m not a faculty advisor at Towson!
