towson'd education major

<p>does anyone have any feedback on Towson - how safe is the campus and surrounding area? Also, how good is their teacher/education major?</p>

<p>Towson’s education major/teacher training is probably among the best you can get in the state and region. My sister and most of the really good teachers I know (early childhood through high school) graduated from that program and they got great educations there and became wonderful classroom teachers who are very devoted to the students and their craft, which they know also is an art. The campus is quite nice and is located in a suburban area in the county seat, which is called (strangely enough <g>) Towson. It is very safe, crime-statistics-wise, and the campus is close enough to walk into the “town” of Towson, in which there is a main drag with pizza shops, at least one Starbucks, several bars/restaurants and so on. Nearby (within walking distance) is quite a large sized and nice shopping mall that has Nordstroms and Macy’s and a bunch of other shops and stores and a big food court. PM me if you want to know more.</g></p>

<p>thank you. Do you know anything about campus life for Out of State kids? Do the maryland kids go home on the weekends?</p>
