<p>I plan on switching out of West Point this year. Can anyone tell me the stats on those leaving the academies? My high school stats are stronger than my college grades, but I have good reason for this drop in performance. What are my chances of getting into top tier schools from an academy?</p>

<p>not to be rude, but I’m a girl…ha ha. Anyway, I only have a 3.0 because of some problems i had first semester plebe year which didn’t give me a strong basis. But out of high school I had a 1400 with a solid gpa. I want to transfer to uva or georgetown, but I’m not sure the chanceds for me to get in with the grades I have gotten while at the academy. I’ve hear things though that they are attracted to those from the academies, such as West Point.</p>
<p>We’re talking about THE West Point: its notorious for heavy grade deflation.</p>
<p>Your 3.0 would be fairly competitive for transfer.</p>
<p>I would like to think that somebody with a 3.0 from the Academy, undoubtedly one of the most difficult schools to be admitted to and to succeed in in the country, would be able to transfer to Georgetown or UVA but in reality I have no idea.</p>
