Well the envelope that I sent to Rice had my transcript and recs in it.
When I was in Korea (on holiday), I sent it postmarked before the deadline.

And I wrote my return address (my home address) on the back.

And when I came back from Korea, I got my envelope.

The dumb postoffice people read my return address (which was on the back of the envelope) and sent it to my return address!

The deadline was 10th Jan and now it's 21st Jan and I'm sitting here with my envelope postmarked 9th Jan.

If I send it in tomorow, will Rice accept it? Should I keep the postmark sticker on it or something? Should I write a letter explaining this? Has this happend to anyone else before?! :(

I'd send the whole thing back to Rice (including the envelope with the postmark on it) with a nice letter explaining to them what happened. Make sure you keep a photocopy of the envelope with the postmark on it (in case you need ammunition later).

It shouldn't make much of a difference; I'm sure they're used to things like that happening.

Put the whole thing, including the envelope with the postmark, along with a cover letter, in a new Fedex or Priority Mail envelope and send it off ASAP.

Thanks guys!
My counselor shoved all my things including my transcript in one envelope and sealed it himself and told me to send it..

Im thinking of faxing the recs and transcripts but that would take away the confidentuality...
I'll most likely mail it in with a nice letter of explaination.
Thanks everyone :)
