Transcript Due Date?

Hi there, I recently submitted my Intent to Enroll for SDSU and ordered my transcripts and AP Test Scores to be sent. It was the first week in April, I believe around April 5th, when I sent my transcripts from my high school and I know my AP Scores were sent out on the 8th. They still haven’t gone through according to my portal, though, and I’m starting to get a bit worried. I’m more worried about my transcripts than my AP scores because it says that they need to be in before May 1st or else my admission could be revoked. So I was wondering if I should start worrying or if you think it will be fine. Does it have to actually be in or just post marked by the 1st? I already called SDSU to ask them, but they were rather apathetic about it and just told me that it can take few weeks for them to arrive and be put in the system and that they should be in on time. Any information or past experiences would be great so I could stress less. Thanks!

@dstyja - I remember my Aztec son had the same concern when he was a high school senior. He contacted the school and they told him not to worry because they received so many thousands of transcripts and AP documentation in such a small window of time that it took time to process. What my son did was double check with his high school’s counseling office to confirm the date the transcript was sent, and then monitored his portal. I believe by the 26th or so everything was received and updated on his portal. It all worked out just fine. If you notice that by April 28th they still haven’t received your transcript, I would contact the school, say what you said above, and write down the date, time, phone number, and person you spoke with about the matter. SDSU really does try to work with each student, especially the ones who are as proactive as you.

Plus, this is a great way to remind you to monitor your portal throughout your years as an Aztec student. The university often posts important information that you don’t want to miss.

@Fish125 Thank you! I’m going to double check with my high school on Monday to be sure that they have a record of them being sent, and will keep watching my portal for any updates.

@dstyja - I remember replying to another one of your posts - Weren’t you accepted into the Honors College? If so, many times if my kid had an issue that needed to be resolved, he would reach out to the Honors College administrative team and ask them what to do. Don’t forget that you are a part of the Honors College family now, and they are there for you if you have questions, too!

@Fish125 Yes, I was accepted into the Honors College. Thank you again and I’ll contact them as we get closer if it isn’t resolved!
