Transfer 2014 students, should i drop the class ? help me out

Hi all, I got admitted e mail from SDSU 3 days ago. my GPA 3.34 and Accounting major,

have AA-T and local students. my story is long long and so complicate .pls help.

so, I took math 121(bus cal1) at southwestern and math 122(bus cal2) at mesa college. I thought this is not a problem at all, because southwestern and mesa are same San Diego district. However, when I went to CC counselor for advising about SDSU,

She said that I m not completed all courses yet, because I took 121, and 122 each different schools, those course are only matched when you finish by one school. oh well.,,

It was week before CC semester started, so I hurried to resister math 150 (regular cal 1)

and I filled out my SDSU supplemental form that I did not finish one of major class requirement yet, it s on processing by may.

And, last week, I went to CC counselor again, different counselor heard my story, and she says that the other counselor might be confused. What?

She contact Transfer center Director, and found out I don't have any problem with my math 121, 122 .

She advised me that I should drop math 150 right now, there is no reason to take this class, especially I got admitted e mail from SDSU.

I'm not sure how supplemental form work out, I already marked that I didn't complete one of main math classes, so I'm following up until this semester.

even though I reached all requirement (math 121,math122), wrong information of supplemental form will affect my admission later??

I marked wrong information at supplemental form

I got admitted SDSU (Base on my supplemental form)

In fact, I finished all my requirement' (math 150 is extra for me)

If I drop math 150 now, What is going to happen?

UPDATE :

Went to SDSU Admission Office, explain all my situation, they were nice enough to help me out, and reviewed my past supplemental form, They said that I don’t have any problem, “Withdrawal” is fine as long as I finished all requirement major and GE. it is OK to drop math 150!

YAY~~

Well, I was OK in math 150., but you guys know, getting A is always need extra effort.

I’m going to drop my dammn math class, and take a rest until next fall SDSU started.

besides, I’m still pissed off the one of CC counselor who told me I have to take math 150.

Not all counselor know everything, They are using same materials that College provides which is students also can get.

Always good to ask second opinion to others, or go to direct place to ask…

Congrat me!

Did the admissions office add something to your file that says that you came in and notified them about the withdrawal? I am in a similar situation. My daughter developed a serious medical condition a month ago and I have since had to miss a ton of class to take her to appointments. I decided to drop 3 of my classes but remained in my physical anthropology class (the final class that will complete my IGETC certification) and German 3. None of the classes I dropped are required for my major or IGETC, and I will still have more than the 60 unit minimum.

I called admissions and they told me to email the admissions office. I have emailed them twice in the last two weeks but haven’t heard back yet. My admission letter says that if my schedule is any different than what I reported on my supplemental application, my admission will be rescinded. I think I will try to go into admissions next week. I will be so bummed if my admission is rescinded due to my family emergency.

Hello, knhofto, The lady said that as long as you complete or going to finish your major class, GE etc, other class of “W” is a O.K.

I m pretty sure your 3 dropped classes are fine if it is not affect your any GE or major, Besides, you mentioned that you are on track “physical anthropology” which will complete your IGETC. that’s good! keep work on that.

I tried to contact SDSU by e mail and phone call, but they didn’t answer or return e mail back until I really showed up Today for face to face.talk.

Go to real office is always the best and fastest way to solve your problem. Good luck on that

by the way, i didn’t make any file or sign for my withdrawal notification, they just said that I should drop and it’s not gonna change my admission offer.

@knhofto I would still make sure to contact admissions office and ask them.
