Transfer 2017 chances

I am a sophomore at a small college in New England and I was wondering what my chances were for spring 2017 transfer?
I am an econ major with a 3.44 gpa, I am also pretty involved at my current school as a member of orchestra, a volunteer at a local middle school and the news editor for our paper. I got two letters of recommendation and submitted my test scores (which were pretty average compared to GW students).
I applied to transfer to GW for fall 2016 but was rejected, so this is my second application in a row.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with how selective january transfer was vs. fall or any experience applying as a january transfer and what their application was like?

I can’t speak for the competitiveness of fall vs. spring transfer. With that said, applying again shows perseverance, and I’m sure that’s favorable on an application. Also, what was your GPA when you applied for Fall 2016? If it has gone down, I don’t think that will help your case. However, and increase in your GPA should definitely help your case.

@NHuffer My gpa when I applied last semester was a 3.25 so its gone up a bit but I really only have one more semester of grades submitted
