Hi,
I am looking to transfer to Villanova University as a sophmore. I am applying to the School of Business. I went to Marist College, and had a 3.46 GPA as a Biology major in the pre-medical program. I now transferred to Fordham University, and estimating my GPA to be around a 3.2 as a Biological Science major. I am switching to business regardless if I transfer to Villanova or not. What are my chances of getting in? SAT CR 550 MATH 660 WRITING 540. Bunch of extra curricular activities in high school. I got wait-listed the first time. What do you think about now. Please let me know. Thank you so much.

stop transferring.

i wish i liked where i was going, then i would stop. i’ve been wanting to go to villanova for a long time. i really would appreciate if i can get someone’s actual opinion on my chances. i would really appreciate it.

did you end up transferring?

why would you transfer down from Fordham to Villanova?

you think thats transferring down? i’m still at fordham i had a 3.94 GPA last semester and expecting a 4.0 this semester. VSB is ranked much higher and I really don’t like Fordham as it focuses way too much on accounting and I plan on doing Finance.

I love Accounting and Finance!
Is the ChemE major allowed to say that? whatev.

No offense, but when I read your post Sarah Palin came to mind. Silly, I know, but she transferred more than our Pres. (who only transferred once, btw.)

Michael’s got a point, VBS ranks in at #20 and Fordham (the bx, baby!) is 48.
Why not just stay @ Fordham for the remainder of your undergrad and choose an MBA program that focuses in on the area of Finance you’re interested in later on?

Chances are, your going to need more than a BA to be competitive in the field. My Finance prof. earned his PhD while I was taking his course.

I commute to Fordham and it is just such a bad situation I just want to get more out of college you know…Also, now that I am doing business I really find Fordham to be a joke (My lowest grade these past two semesters has been one A-). Not to sound cocky but I just like to be challeneged. Also, the school is so focused on accouunting and they’re resources for finance majors are so miniscule.
