Transfer admission rescinding?

Hi, I been following this forum for a while and I can't find any information that regarded my situation.

I am applying for CALS transfer fall 09 and I was just accepted. If I have sent in my acceptance deposit, can they still rescind your admissions? Like what if your final transcript looks like this. A,A,B,B,C or B,B,B,B,B? or B,B,B,B,C? Will they rescind your admisisons still? I'm very nervous. I heard that the acceptance deposit is the contract in you are offical in the college.

Well from the course evaluation sheet, it said you must get a C- in order for the credit to transfer. I dont know if that indicates anything.

So does that mean that my acceptance will not be rescind? It just means that the credit will not transfer if I get below a C-?

I don’t think they would rescind you for grades like those…I think it’s mainly to there for those with consistent low grades and to help tell people not to slack off too much. One C might not be bad, but if you have a good amount of them then it might be bad. But for the most part, I’m pretty sure that B’s won’t make them rescind you, and one or two C’s with straight A’s won’t do it either. A few A’s mixed with a few B’s and then one C shouldn’t be too bad. All B’s isn’t bad enough for them to rescind you either I would think. All B’s and a C shouldn’t make them rescind you either

Just continue working and don’t worry about getting just one C, your other grades will make up for it.

It does matter on transferring the credits though, so I’m not sure if you’re worried a lot about that either

^–the above post cleared my thoughts on it.

I was worried I might get a C+ this semester, but my grades are more likely going to be:

A, A-, B+, B/B-, B-

Not really a Cornell-like semester, but…again, revoke of an acceptance is more for the low-side of a C or even a D+ (which obviously doesn’t transfer).

plus, i dont think they really care that much since ur gpa will not transfer over…

Yeah, remember though that if you do apply for something like med school, you still have to send out transcripts from ALL colleges, not sure if that’s something you’re going for though

One really important thing: Make sure none of this messes around with your required courses needed for transfer. I’m pretty sure you need a certain grade for the required courses that the college asked you to take, and I think (not sure) that goes for classes even after you have been accepted. So if Cornell required you to take a class like Bio 1 and you’re taking Bio 1 right now since it ends this coming month, even though they made their decisions a while ago I think you would still need to get the required grade they asked for. Not sure on this myself though since I was thinking about it, so maybe someone else can help with that part.

Don’t worry though like others have said, just don’t slack off too much and you’ll be fine :)

ok thanks everyone!! I already sent in my acceptance coupon and I was scare that my slacking might of rescind my admissions to Cornell. I was scare that about getting all B’s and one C.
