I'm currently a second semester sophomore wanting to transfer from a CUNY to a SUNY for Fall 2012. I am on the pre-med track and have completed inorganic chemistry and will finish biology this semester. By the end of this semester I will have completed 65 credits. I want to transfer because the SUNYs that I intend to transfer to are better ranked and have their own hospitals. I feel like they will give me more opportunities and will also help me become more independent and get away from home which are some things that CUNYs cannot provide. The things I worry about are that some credits may not transfer over, that I will not graduate within four years, and that I may not like the school after I transfer. I have already applied but I'm having doubts especially since I'm doing pre-med.

What are your opinions on my situation? Should I accept my transfer if I do get in? Or should I just finish my undergrad at the CUNY?
