Transfer Applicant 2018?

Hi, I am looking to transfer from UC Davis after my freshman year because I don’t feel their theatre program is strong and I am now looking at conservatory programs for acting… From my list, could one of you kind people put the schools in order by competitiveness or acceptance rate because I’m having a hard time finding that out… Also, I’d be happy to hear any other input you have on the schools:

DePaul, Pace, Marymount Manhattan, Boston University, CalArts, The New School… Also, I heard that Hunter College in NYC has an up and coming BA program in Theatre, is that true?

Also, if you have any other schools that you’d like to recommend BFA or BA, I’d like to hear them as well,
Thanks!

Drew University in Madison New Jersey…Great theatre program and only a short ride into the city.

Since you are already in the UC system you might want to check out the acting programs at both UCSB and UC Irvine. Both offer BFAs that are auditioned programs before your sophomore year. You might be able transfer without losing an entire year of work that you have already completed.

I would say that DePaul and CalArts are the most competitive, BU, Pace slightly less (except if you’re doing MT in which case Pace is top of the line) and Marymount and New School slightly less than that, but they are ALL audition schools and all very competitive.
