The application is coming soon. I have a question: NU likes to see people who are eager to go to NU right? They want determination to get in. So, if someone applies as a Transfer and has the app in by October, do you think they'll take into consideration the speed the applicant had at applying? And also, what would be the rule of thumb when listing ECs that you plan to do during the year but haven't gotten to yet? If you're going to play softball in the spring should you mention it or not?

Thanks.

Northwestern (95 percent of the time) won't even consider your application until you have completed 30 credit hours (about a year's worth of work). So, your best bet is to work really hard on your application and send it during the Spring. They want to see that you've at least TRIED to make your current school work, and not that you've made up your mind to transfer only 1-2 months into college. In regards to putting down future ECs, that is why Northwestern's application is due May 1. Prior to applying, they give you more than enough time to be as involved as possible at your current school. Thus, you shouldn't need to write down "I will be involved in this extracurricular in April" etc. etc.. Hope that helps.

So the best bet is to send it in in April then? That way I've had time to get used to my school and have something to write about? Alrighty! Thanks!

yeah! def! one of their app questions is something along the lines of "describe your college experience up to this date." u can 't write about that if you haven't experienced anything lol
