Transfer as a Junior

I'm looking at colleges right now and I am a senior in high school. I am thinking of going to a community college in Florida and then transferring to University of Florida after 2 years at a community college. I was wondering how difficult it would be to transfer into Florida after 2 years at a community school. What kind of GPA would I need to have? Any feedback would be great

Here's more information about the requirements for transferring into UF: http://www.questions.ufl.edu/admissions/transfer/21/

Hope this helps! :)

I just transferred in from a CC last semester, and it really depends on what department you're transferring into (if it's a limited access major or whatever). I've heard a lot of rumors that the admissions for transfer students is going to be harder, but everyone I know who applied got in just fine :) Good luck!

Polkadot,

How competetitive was admission into your major?

Polkadot is basically right. If you plan to go into business for example, then it's a good idea to have a good GPA. However, if want to major in something like linguistics, then you would have small or no competition at all.

I am in a limited access major, so "supposedly" (I really don't know the numbers) they only took about 50 people? There's not a lot of us, I know that much!

even with ''limited'' access programs, a 3.5+ college gpa and instate will probably get you in.
