Transfer to UF from another University.

Okay, I have been researching the transfer admission process and requirements for the University of Florida. From what I have been reading, people are generally saying that the majority of transfer admissions (with AA or 60 transferable credits) are coming from a Florida community college. So, I am wondering what the process is, as well as the chances, of getting accepted to UF from another Florida state 4 year university. I am currently attending FGCU, and was planning on moving out of state, but as plans have changed in my life, it seems that I have no choice but to stay in state. I really want to transfer to UF, since that is the school I was going to go to before I decided that I would move out of state, but I am now extremely nervous that I won't get in because I am at another 4 year university, and not at a community college.
I would really appreciate if you guys could give me some more insight on what the chances/process is for getting accepted to UF as a transfer from another university.

Thanks guys!

It doesn’t matter where you are transferring from, the admission requirements will be the same. Use an essay or a letter about yourself to explain why you want to make the transfer. If your GPA is high where you are coming from, you have nothing to worry about.

Okay, thank you. I feel so much better now. When I was doing all my research I heard a lot of people saying that students coming from a community college had the upper hand, or basically got priority.
Thanks again.
