Is it hard/competitive to transfer as a sophomore?

I just applied early to FSU with a 3.1 HS gpa, 1070 SAT.
So far in college I have a 3.85 (after 2 classes) and working my ass off.

Would summer 09' be hard for me to get into?

wait, where are you transferring to?

FSU, meaning Florida State? I guess?

Does FSU accept summer applicants? Usually, if you apply for fall entrance some schools let you begin during the summer semester. How many credits will you complete by Summer '09? Some schools require a full academic year before transfer. That's usually 12-18 credit hours per semester.

Yeah, Florida State.

I will have 31-33 credit hours, and will have finished an academic year of school. I will be transferring as a sophomore. Attending summer session, IF admitted of course.

They do accept summer applicants.

Why not just apply to Fall 09 as a junior?

That wasn't my initial question....

Are you coming from community college of four year school? Are you from Florida?
I think the transfers that are the most competitive are students who have an A.A. degree from a Florida community college.

Summer might be might be difficult to transfer because most of slots are available for the fall semester.

I am coming from a four year university- The University of North Florida.
Yeah, I'm from Florida.
I thought summer was easiest to get into. Whenever you apply and they don't think you are good enough for fall, they put you in summer. So that's the reason I applied.

I know they can always put me in fall..
