Transfer from FSU?

Hello all, I was wondering would it be possible to transfer to UF for a summer term? I am a freshman at FSU and currently have a 3.8 gpa. Which term would better my chances of being accepted as a person with less than 60 credit hours? Thank you for your time guys.

I know you can defiantly take classes at UF during the summer as a non-student, but I dont know about what your chances are with getting is. Transferring summer or spring would probably be you best shot.

yankee

just curious why you are thinking of transferring from fsu?

I want to get into a graduate school in florida and after talking to some head guys in person, they say they accept about 50% uf undergrads into certain programs, and I feel it would be a smart move for me to do so.

By no means is FSU bad at all, I love it in every imaginable way, fantastic school, wonderful people. The last I want people to think is that I am transferring because I dislike FSU somehow, that is absolutely not the case. I just feel maybe UF would be better for what I want to do when it comes to my career goals, since each school has their weaknesses and strengths.

If you transfer with less than 60 credits the requirements are:
* Foreign language proficiency
* Minimum of 1400 SAT or 33 ACT
* Minimum 4.0 high school GPA as calculated by the University of Florida
* Minimum 3.0 academic college GPA (with no deficit record at any institution)

It is much easier to transfer once you have 60 credits or an associates degree.

I have seen that but I personally know a few people who got in spring w/o those ridiculous requirements.

Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

I too am a freshman going to UCf hoping I can get into UF but My gpa is subpar should i try applying for my sophmore year for the heck of it then once I get my 60 credits try again if i was not able to make it?
