Transfer CC after 1 year of school or straight from CSU to CSU?

I'm going to be attending a CSU next year as a freshman but I already have a feeling I might not like it as much, so I'm just wondering in case:

Would it be better to go to a CC for a year after my freshman year at the CSU or just transfer from CSU to CSU sophomore year?

Few CSUs take sophomore transfers.

Go to the CSU you are enrolled in and make the most of it.

if you decide to go to a CC you save money and you could also take your time to decide where you really want to go…whereas, going to a CSU and then transferring from there.

I think it’s difficult to transfer as a sophomore. If you want to find out for sure how difficult it may be, call the admissions office at the CSU you’d ultimately like to aim for, and ask how likely it is to be admitted as a sophomore.

Sometimes people get “buyer’s remorse” after they commit to something. It doesn’t mean they’ve made a bad decision. It’s just human nature to second-guess ourselves, because we like to have a lot of options and locking ourselves in takes those options away. I wonder if buyer’s remorse is happening with you, and if in fact you would be really happy at the CSU to which you’ve already committed. On the other hand, maybe you’re not ready to leave home yet. Can you talk this over with your parents or other trusted people?
