Transfer, Chance for Mich, Brown, Columbia, Cornell?

I'm a freshman at Case Western, and I hate it here. Academia is fine. Level of difficulty is just right. I just don't like the people. I grew up in New Jersey, and I think it's a legitimate reason to transfer because I don't quite like the Midwest.

High School - graduated with a 3.3 (unweighted), a few APs, mostly accelerated (honors) classes. Very tough school (ranked number 1 public school in New Jersey). I barely tried at all in high school, and ****ed up my gpa.
SAT: 630 Reading, 750 Math, 770 Writing
SAT2: 640 Literature, 720 Physics, 790 Math II

Captain of Sports team
Varsity athlete - 3 varsity letters earned

Model UN

Worked as a Sales Representative the summer of my senior year.

I know at high school I wasn't exactly spectacular.

At Case Western, I'm currently enrolled in Calculus 2, Macroeconomics, General Chemistry, and a required freshmen seminar. I'm earning an A in each of my classes, and am expecting a 4.0 by the end of first semester.

your HS record is going to be weighed heavily if you apply for next year, so i suggest applying for junior standing

Michigan = Midwest.

If you are going to want to transfer for sure you are going to need some safeties.

I agree with Ironically, that apply for junior standing would give you more time to show colleges what you are capable of. (If you apply for next year you are going to get the worst of both worlds, a low transfer acceptance rate AND a larger focus on your high school record).
