Transfer Chance?

I got rejected from Notre Dame last year. I still thought I would be able to attend ND becuase of my athletic scholarship, but after a long process...I was not able to attend ND. I'm currently at Baylor University, but I am strongly considering transferring to ND next fall.

High School:
SAT: 1280 (Math 680, CR 600)
ACT: 30
(I got 690 on Writing but unfortunately ND doesn't seem to care about that.)
Tons of ECs and Community Service
No Legacy

College:
3.87 GPA (1st semester)
Division 1 Track Team
Community Service: I read to elementary school kids for an hour 1-2 times a week
Also other small projects

I've stayed in contact with the transfer admissions counselor and the track coach. I met with the admissions counselor last summer after I was rejected and figured out everything I needed to do if I wanted to transfer. I have taken all the courses I need and been in contact with the counselor through e-mail since our meeting.
I don't have any ECs here because being on the track team is literally a full time job. Do you think that will hurt my application?

I know ND takes into account your 2nd semester GPA also, but I just wanted to know, at this point, what is my chance of getting in? And is there anything else I can do to improve my application?

Thank you :)

As I understand it, you are doing everything the right way. Keep in touch with the transfer counselor, it will certainly help to be seen. Surprisingly, ND does not have a huge transfer applicant pool as I recall (compared to first time admissions) and the acceptance rate is considerably higher (maybe 40-50%?) so stick with it. The transfer information is available on the school’s website. Good Luck and Go Irish!
