transfer chances for myself and a friend for Wisconsin- Madison

<p>My friend and I are freshmen and would like to transfer to UW-Madison for Fall 2010. </p>

<p>I have the following stats:</p>

<p>3.42 GPA at SMU, taking Psychology, Chinese, and Microeconomics, withdrew Calculus II
3.3 GPA in high school with a 3.76 first tristmester of senior year and a 1.9 last tri
C- in intro to accounting taken online over the summer
31 ACT for 2 sittings, 5 on AP Calc AB exam, 5 on AP English Language, and 4 on AP Statistics
1860 SAT I, 760 Math IIC SAT II, 660 US History SAT II</p>

<p>My friend has the following:</p>

<p>3.6 GPA at University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, taking Astronomy, Psychology, Sociology, and Precalculus
3.28 GPA in high school
28 ACT</p>

<p>I was deferred and then accepted for freshman admission, he was rejected. How are our chances of getting in as transfers?</p>

<p>Just got in! 3.4 from BU and 3.5 in HS, sophomore standing for next year</p>

<p>Around Christmas break, i was very surprised how early I heard back</p>

<p>Keep over a 3.25 and very good chance. If you have a year of good college grades they won’t look at high school much if at all. They are looking for more transfers for next Fall.</p>

<p>I found out I was in around 3 days ago. 3.46 CC GPA as a philosophy major. I also had like a 2.0 HS GPA.</p>
