Ok, so i applied to W&M out of hs, was instate male and was deferred. During Fall semester I attended college at the University of Miami and after first semester Im looking at transfering next Fall into the Kinesiology program.
First semester gpa: 3.6
HS gpa: 3.8
SAT:1330/1990
As well I run Track and XC at UM.
What are my chances please?!?!

close. I'd say it comes down to your recs. What is your college GPA? If you're set on W&M, I'd check out Richard Bland College .There's a guaranteed transfer program, and it is relatively easy. I'd say that it is worth looking into.

College gpa is 3.6 after my first semester.

bro I am going to WM (from Miami).. just curious, what don't you like about the U? Canes for life here :P

To be honest your chances are very good. Your GPA is right at the point they suggest for transfers. I got in with a lower GPA for transfer. Just make sure that you differentiate yourself from the other applicants. And not just in your essays, I mean do things like send a grade update after you send in your midterm grade report, and email Admissions to see whether there is anything else you can do. The key is to not just fall into the pile. Their transfer acceptance rate is very high, I really don't think you are going to have any problems. Best of luck joining the Tribe.

thanks for the advice RC.
