Transfer chances to these schools

<p>Hey, I'm revising my previous thread with more information.</p>

<p>I'm looking to transfer as a junior from a state school with a 3.1 G.P.A. I want to transfer into the Fall 2013 academic year, at which time I will conservatively estimate a 3.25. G.P.A. My classes will have included two calculus courses, two foreign language courses, chemistry, stats, intro finance, accounting, and econ courses. In my extra-curriculars, i have been president and vp of several student organizations and have written published articles for the university newspaper.</p>

<p>Fordham, Northeastern, Syracuse, Boston University, Hofstra, University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Rutgers University New Brunswick, are the schools I am seeking. I'm not certain what my legitimate chances of admission to any of these are, so I would really value anyone's input.</p>

<p>Feel free to add your suggestions of schools as well. I would like to major in Business, but for the universities without undergraduate business schools, I would prefer Economics.</p>

<p>I think the fact that you’re quite an active student, will help increase your chances, but you should look at the rates of acceptance for the major you want to apply to … because for these universities,the chances differ depending on the major … the tougher it is, the higher GPA is needed.</p>

<p>I have 2.97 and expect 3.1 at the end of this semester, I’m an active Volunteer.
I think i have no chance to get in Northeastern nor BU … even though they say GPA is not what matters, it is still a very important aspect of the admissions process, and they only accept less tan 1/3 of applicants.</p>

<p>Then it would depend on what courses dropped down your GPA, because they also look at your grades individually…</p>
