Does your application make a compelling case for why you need early transfer?
Forgot to specify that I’m planning on transferring Fall 2017, so I will have completed a little over 90 credits.
Great! Are you getting the associates, too?
My other suggestion is don’t put “economics??” as your major. Leave off the question marks, and sound focused in your application. UW expects incoming transfers to know what they want and declare their major first quarter after arrival. You had your first two years of college to explore and now they want you on a path towards graduation.
Yes, I will be receiving my associates degree (direct transfer). I understand what you mean with the question marks haha. I’ve just been on the fence between English and Economics. But after asking advising at UW yesterday, it looks like they don’t offer a prerequisite I’d need in order to apply to the English program at my current community college.
You’re a solid match grades-wise but don’t let up on the essay. Make sure you tell em where you’re at and how prepared for your major you are. I applied for transfer two years ago from Bellevue College and I got accepted into the Math and ACMS majors. Remember there’s a written test for the Economics department so make sure you get on those right away
