what year are you now?

.......also when exactly do you plan to transfer (or at least try to)?

I'm going to transfer for fall of 2006, I graduate from MCC this spring

Hey, I am a transfer to ND and I have a feeling that I can answer a lot of your questions, though the board may not be the best place (sorry it took me so long to get to you, I have been traveling). My email should be in my profile or if not PM me.

I certainly think you have a shot even though ND really likes high high high gpa's from anyone from a community college. You certainly have a shot, the question is how closely your classes mirror the requirements that ND has (as seen on the transfer page). If you have taken the right courses, I think you have a decent shot. Anyways, you probably want a lot more info and I need more info to give much more, so feel free to get in touch if you want to know more. GOOD LUCK!!!

just wondering...........how often do rejected applicants get accepted through transfer.........that might be hard to answer because of the college they are currently going to and the comparison of the grades.....just in my mind

Depends on how you look at it I guess. I would say that the majority of transfers either were rejected or were not strong enough out of high school to apply to Notre Dame. That being said, if you truly want to know how many of those rejected get in through transfer admissions, I would say not many. The reason why is most don't apply (see why this is funny) and still 70% of those who apply as transfers get rejected. I guess I am just not sure how you are actually asking this, but I would say the majority of transfers are in that group where we were not accepted or weren't going to get in out of high school and we just needed a bit more time to prove ourselves or to improve our record to show that we are ND calibur students.

ok.....see, i know some people i know plan on going to schools in order to transfer to another. I dont like this idea because you get adjusted to one and make friends but the whole time you are wishing your life away(two years) waiting to go somewhere else.......just my thoughts
