transfer chances

Can anybody rate my chances...I'm a freshman at Emory interested in transfering. I'm applying to these: Upenn, Umich, UNC-chapel hill, Udelaware, Penn state...Upenn is a big reach, but I am a legacy. Umich seems like a match. UNC seems like a match, but I am out-of-state so it may be impossible. Del and Penn State are just safteys i guess.

HS GPA 3.65 uw, 4.3 w
SAT 1380 (740m,640v)
SAT II physics - 650, Matt 2c - 680
Would get AP credit for BC calc, physics c, english, psychology
@ Emory GPA 3.6
tons of extracurriculars including varsity sports.

Thanks!

i think you basically answered you're own question in the first paragraph lol.

well...I'm interested in my chances at Upenn and UNC...Penn is tought, but im wondering how much legacy will help. UNC is not too bad, but im wondering how bad my out-of-state status hurts me. Can anybody rate my chances?

UPenn is not that tough at all. People who get in have surprizingly low stats. I'd say 50% chance. I was shocked to hear about people getting in with 1300 and 3.5 in Wharton. Good luck.

what's wrong with emory? i was thinking about applying there. anyway, i know a girl who transferred from nyu's tisch school of fine arts to UNC and she's not a genius- she's pretty average (she gets relatively good grades but not amazing) so i think you'll be fine as far as that goes. i have no clue about umich and upenn... just go for it, what have you got to lose

I would say UNC- Chapel Hill is match and you have a decent chance at Penn provided that it isn't Wharton. It's not like your scores are low, but the 1300/3.5 student that martinibluex is talking about probably had an extraordinary perk or just got insanely lucky.

well for penn, i am a legacy and have tons of relatives there. Also, I may be playing sprint football. I'm applying as an econ major because I dont have the course requirments to transfer into wharton...

Also, is UNC transfer out-of-state tough. Everyone tells me its a match, but i hear 82% of students are in state so im worried. I really want to goto UNC though, sounds like a perfect fit in every aspect.
