I just saw you posted on the main transfer board, ugh, I really need to get my butt over there more often. Unfortunately I may have to disagree with them, but the good news is if I do I can also tell you exactly what you will need to get to ND.

With Notre Dame there are a few important factors which I need to know. First of all, we need to look at the classes you are taking as they are extremely important (as important as GPA) for Notre Dame. I have more info on this on my website which I build just for ND prospective transfers at www.nd.edu/~mnadorff/transfer.

Secondly, we need to look at what you want to study. There are a few majors at ND that do not accept transfers, so applying for the proper major is key. I can help you with that as well as how to switch majors once you are there. Long story, I will go into that more if you want to study one of those "forbidden" subjects.

Regardless, one thing you have to focus on right now is the GPA. While being a minority will certainly help a bit, ND usually has a threshold that you have to get to with GPA. It used to be a 3.5 but it looks like it either has moved or is about to move to a 3.6, so shoot for that. If you have a 3.6 and the proper courses, you will have an excellent shot at ND.

Sorry I am not as peachy as the people on the transfer board, but don't be disheartened because your GPA is close enough that we can get you where you need to be and your classes may be close enough, we just have to see. The classes are crucial, however...I know someone with a 4.0 who was rejected due to classes.

If there is ANYTHING you need help with, or you even just need to talk about all this stuff feel free to get in touch. As a ND transfer myself and a current senior, I wish you the very best of luck!

I have looked at the requirements and it looks like no matter what the best I can do is get all the requirements except for calc 2 and a science.

You don't have to get it perfect, but getting as close as you can is very very important. They will let you do summer school if you are close though! Focus on getting as close as you can on science and math over other requirements, they look at those more closely. Good luck!
