I'm currently a freshman at American University studying political science and am thinking of transferring to Bucknell University next fall semester. My reasons for transferring are very strong reasons I believe, and i can outline them pretty well. I currently have a 3.3 with 16 credits, and in highschool had a 2.9unweighted GPA. My SATS are as follows: 730cr, 660math, 700lit = 2090. SAT II: Lit 650, US 700. I've been told I have a strong interview and defintely intend on doing one, and i think I can get very strong recommendation letters as well. As for other info, I was a captain of the debate team, as well as a new york state debate champion for congress.

From Bucknell's website:
"Students who apply and typically are admitted have an average GPA of 3.6. To be competitive within the applicant pool, a GPA of 3.0 is preferred and often necessary. We typically enroll about 20 to 30 transfers for the fall semester and 15 to 20 for the spring semester. There is traditionally more room available for rising juniors than there is for rising sophomores.

What do you guys think? Suggestions for other schools would also be appreciated.
